I’m a licensed clinical psychotherapist working in Hollywood, Corona, and central Los Angeles. I work with adults, adolescents, and children, in both individual and family settings and specialize in treating anxiety, as well as learning difficulties, for people of all ages.
I believe that therapy needs to be enjoyable as well being effective. To put it better, it needs to be enjoyable in order to be effective. If you are going to stick with therapy and put in the hard work necessary to make real changes to your life, therapy needs to be something you look forward to. Whatever your age, I make sure to use techniques that are engaging and help you to take an active role in your own personal improvement.
An area I specialize in is Neurofeedback therapy. During my training, I learned that it is a powerful tool to help with ADHD, learning disorders, OCD, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and more. Neurofeedback works by directly training your brain to function in a more appropriate way. If you are interested in learning more, please get in touch.
Education and experience
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2001. Following that, I went on to complete two Masters of Arts degrees, one in Education and the other in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I received both degrees from the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology. My experience as a classroom teacher in Redondo Beach allowed me to see first-hand the effects academic and social struggles can have on both a child and their family. The insight gained from this helped to shape the unique and effective approach I now take with my clients.
After completing my Master’s degree, I worked in a variety of clinical and supervisory settings, including work with autistic spectrum disorders, developmental disorders, and family therapy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE) trainer. I have also studied at the New Mind Neurofeedback Institute, and have learned and been trained in cutting edge Neurofeedback (also known as Biofeedback) therapy. In 2015, I opened my private practice where I have been helping clients of all ages cope with anxiety and depression, triumph over learning difficulties, and lead fuller, more balanced, and joyful lives.
